Project Manager Chassis Technology (m/f/d)
Tasks:
- Direct support and technical advice for European customers for ball joints, tie rod ends, control arms and stabilizer link rods
- Clarification of technical requirements and implementation of development projects
- Management and coordination of customer projects in Europe, from the concept phase to series production, as well as supporting the sales team in technical customer communication and proposal preparation
- Close cooperation with the project team in China to ensure smooth development and implementation
- Monitoring of development progress, deadlines, costs and quality
- Support in the development of new ball joint products and chassis components in accordance with European market requirements
- Support technical validation, test bench tests and release processes
- Optimization of existing products in terms of costs, performance and production processes
- Support in quality assurance, error analysis and improvement of production processes
- Coordination with internal and external suppliers to ensure compliance with technical requirements and specifications
- Analysis of technical trends and competitive products in the European suspension market
- Support in the strategic orientation of product development for the European market
Requirements:
- Completed studies in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, mechatronics or a comparable technical field or technical training with several years of professional experience in the automotive industry
- Several years of professional experience (at least 5 years) in project management or product development in the field of chassis components, ideally with a focus on ball joints, tie rod ends, control arms or stabilizer link rods
- Sound knowledge of materials engineering, production technology and validation processes for metal and plastic-metal components
- Experience in project management according to common automotive standards (e.g. APQP, PPAP, FMEA)
- Knowledge of CAD software and experience in working with international teams is desirable
- Fluent written and spoken German and English
- Strong communication skills and intercultural understanding for working with European customers and Chinese teams
- High willingness to travel within Europe and occasionally to China
